IFS Cloud
For Businesses That Build, Maintain and Power Our Planet
About
IFS Cloud is an enterprise platform combining ERP, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), and Field Service Management (FSM) in a single solution. IFS specializes in asset-intensive industries where managing physical assets, maintenance schedules, and field operations is critical.
What sets IFS apart is its strength in project-centric and service-centric businesses — aerospace MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul), defense contractors, energy companies, and large construction/engineering firms. The company's "Moment of Service" philosophy focuses on the point where products and services are delivered.
History
IFS was founded in 1983 in Linkoping, Sweden, originally as Industrial & Financial Systems. The company built its first ERP product for the Swedish defense industry. Through the 1990s-2000s, IFS expanded globally with a focus on manufacturing and asset management.
In 2017, EQT Partners acquired IFS. The company then made significant acquisitions: Astea International (field service, 2020), Axios Systems (IT service management, 2021), and Copperleaf (asset investment planning, 2022). IFS Cloud was launched in 2021 as a unified platform combining all capabilities.
