History
Epicor's roots trace back to 1972 when it was founded as Technical Analysis Corporation in Southern California. The company went through several name changes and acquisitions — including Platinum Software in 1999 and the merger with Epicor in 2011.
In 2020, Epicor was acquired by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice for $4.7 billion. The same year, the company rebranded its flagship product to "Epicor Kinetic" to reflect its modern cloud-first architecture. In 2021-2023, Epicor made significant acquisitions including Grow Inc. (data analytics) and KBMax (CPQ solutions).
